User Guide: Update your Kucoin API keys from v2 to v3

💡 Kucoin has recently upgraded their API keys from version 2 to version 3.

Support for v2 will end on July 1st, 2024. To continue using the API, you need to upgrade your keys from v2 to v3 before this date.

Kucoin has already upgraded some API keys to v3 automatically, so you may not need to take any action.

Proceed to the Kucoin API management page for checking what version API you have:

If you have v2:

You need to create a new API key with the same permission and replace your old API keys (it is very important to replace and not create new ones) on SageMaster. Here are the steps to do this:

1. Proceed to the API Management page and click Create a new API:

2. Give permission to “Trade” as shown in the image.

  1. Enter a label for the API key. Example “SageMaster2”.

  2. Enter an API Passphrase for this exchange. Copy the “API Passphrase” and save.

  3. Select NO on “IP Restrictions” then click on “Next”

3. Confirm Two-factor Authentication.

4. Your new API key has been created. Now you can copy your API Key and Paste it to SageMaster.

GO to the My Exchanges page…

1. Find your Kucoin and Click the “EDIT” key

2. Enter API key, API Secret, Passphrase and click Update Account

3. That's it! Your v3 API keys are updated!
