How To Connect Gate.io Exchange

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have the following prerequisites:

  • You’ve got a SageMaster account

  • You have a Gate account

Connect Your Exchange

Creating a New API Key in Gate

  1. Log in to your Gate account and go to the "API Management" page. 1.

  2. Click on the "Create New API Key" button. 1.

  3. On the popup that appears, select the Account type

  4. Enter a label under the API Key Remark. Example “SageMaster”. Set IP Permissions to Later, select API v4 Key as the API Key Type, and select Trading Account in Account Type

  5. Set permissions as seen in the image below:

    • enable Spot/Margin Trade and select Read And Write

    • enable Perpetual Contract and select Read And Write

    • enable Wallet and select Read and Write

  6. Click Submit button

  7. Accept the risk reminder: tick the checkboxes and click ****the “I Accept” button.

  8. Enter your 2FA for verification and confirm the email code sent to you.

  9. Your new API key and secret will be displayed on the screen.

  10. Now you can copy your API Key and Paste it to SageMaster.

    1. Go to your Sagemaster account and click “My Exchanges” in My settings section or in the Side menu

    2. Click the “Connect Exchange” button, select Spot tab, choose Gate io, and paste the API key and API Key secret

    3. Click “Authorize API Connection” to finish connecting your Sagemaster account with Gate.
